I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome and, despite being an active, outdoor junkie in all seasons, have had to avoid cold weather sports over the last 7 years due to my hands being too cold. This glove has made it possible to go back to winter skiing, snowshoeing and motorcycle riding. They do exactly what you'd expect and the heated elements are located in the fingers so they work to keep my fingers warms where the chemical packets at the back of the hand of other gloves do not help. I commute on a motorcycle all year long in PA (wet, cold, windy winters) and used this glove on all my rides. It keep my fingers from going numb and my hands were always dry, even in wet snow and heavy rain.

For having so much technology packed into the glove it is quite a good fit and not as bulky as I would have expected. The connection cords for keeping the gloves charged are stored in the gauntlet and a charge lasts about 10 hours.

Here are the only downsides I discovered. These gloves tend to stretch out after they have been worn a bit. I initially tried on the medium (what I usually wear) and it was too tight so I bought a large. The large has now stretched and doesn't keep my fingers as warm because it doesn't fit as snugly. The heating elements also stopped working after 5 months of use. Black Diamond has offered to take them back and replace them with new gloves. I cannot complain about that but was lucky they died at the end of winter and not in the middle of it.

NOTE: This is a heavy duty, well made, snow sports/ski glove. It does not allow you as much dexterity as a lighter, less warm glove but does live up to it's purpose. If you have cold hands, the price is worth it to be able to play outside again, in my opinion. When it was really cold I needed to keep the gloves on the third and highest heat setting to keep my hands from going numb. This may have run through the charge faster than stated above but I never calculated the actually time.
