To make it snappy here are the pros and my suggestions for improvement! But this is near perfect already compared to any other shirt I have seen for walking/outdoors/adventure.

Why are the 2 outer chest pockets not expandable like the ones on the trousers? They have two seams stitched up them so it looks like those superb expandable pockets the trousers have that take almost anything I find, but it is just for show, no extra material to allow much to be put in the pockets.

Buttons on sleeves are not the special ones on all other parts of the shirt, they are normal stitched on ones. Why cover pocket buttons so they don't catch but expose weaker cuff and lower arm ones? To save on production costs?

In my experience (Belize, Honduras, city and jungle) the anti mosquito gimmick does not work at all. In fact the truth is buy the darker clothes you attract them more, buy lighter clothes they will be a bit less attracted.

The chest and shoulder vent's mesh is wide enough allow ticks and mosquitoes, but only if you are very still eg sleeping or sat reading. Please use a insect mesh next time, this is supposed to be the ultimate survival gear.

+ Superb idea to have unobtrusive vents in the shoulders and on the front a discreet zip that opens up to either allow extra ventilation through mesh inner liner or store things in the huge mesh inner pocket.

+ This and survivor trousers dry quick (compared to all other clothing I know) after swimming in them. In my circumstances I was in the jungle and weather was hot and humid, but still the other people with me had to change their clothes and I did not need to at all. It does not retain water in the fabric! Fast to dry after washing too.

+ Under the collar is an extra collar flap to put up top protect your neck against insects and sun or the cold! Superb feature that works.

+ Light and strong material. Easy to pack too, doesn't crease much.

+ Comes in a light colour that will be less attractive to mosquitoes and absorb less sunlight.

+ Looks and fit are good!

As a die-hard loyal fan of the Bear Grylls show and his many intrepid treks, one could summarize that my review would obviously be positive simply by association alone. However that is not true at all, and being a infantry adventurer myself, I was delighted beyond expectation upon receiving this shirt made by Craghoppers. The material is extremely well-made, light-weight and breathes very easily. It is a comfort not regularly experienced in procurement of most shirts regardless of genre or price. The shirt has an abundance of pockets, and even a well-disguised hidden zipper pouch lined in a comfortable orange mesh above your left chest. The shirt fit true to size for me, but probably a little on the "slender or athletic fit" side of the spectrum compared to standard American cut. (e.g. I am 6'3, 205 and have a 42.5" chest with 34" waist and it fit snug in the chest, but just loose enough in the arms and the length was perfect)

Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Quite honestly, I was expecting less perhaps due slightly to the usual hype that accompanies products made through endorsements. However, I would not only recommend this purchase, but I would dare to state that it is simply the best shirt that I have ever purchased, and I certainly look forward to wearing it with pride on my many upcoming personal adventures. In fact, I was so dazzled that I bought one in every color made...(seriously!) so that is truly either a little ridiculous or amazingly brilliant. I tend to believe the latter. :)

NOTICE:

The only thing missing from the shirt in the photo is the cool (but somewhat insignificant) red bear logo on the bottom of the shirt. (Where did it go?)

It was not present on my shirt, and I was a little bummed from the fan side. The "Bear Grylls by Craghoppers" is printed in Black on the left pocket as shown. I know it is petty, but I do wish to mention this small factoid.

This shirt does not disappoint! It is what i would expect when bear grills puts his name on it and wears in the show!! This shirt is really comfortable and weighs about nothing so even soaking wet its still comfortable and light to move in, it dries surprisingly fast, and is made from a tough material that doesn't rip easily. The sleeves roll up and have a snap to keep them up there no matter how physical the activity your doing is, and best of all it looks great. The fit is stylish and comfortable, there are two convenient pockets up front and one hidden one that you could put extra money or a passport for safe keeping. For my money one of the best shirts I've ever bought online, and i have already ordered two more in different colors, can't wait!!!

After wearing the shirt casually for the first time! (and not a high performance condition as this shirt is intended for), I noticed that several seams (on front and the shoulders) were broken open without even putting too much stress on them, some were beyond repair unfortunately. I had real high expectations from BG clothing and craghoppers and this item did not fill any of those expectation in any way. Otherwise it does have some practical pockets that could be of use in outdoor activities.

I am an avid outdoors person, and this shirt seemed like the real deal. It was rated well and looked great. I was happy to get it and give it a go. One problem. Their version of XXL is more along the lines of L and a half. This shirt runs wicked small.

I wished it was cut differently or something, becuase I am just a big guy and fairly fit for my age. But nope. Bummer.
