I own the ZFO 40 pound weighted vest. I had been using that for over a month and decided that it was getting "too light." I wanted to step up my training considerably. So I decided to upgrade and get ZFO's 100 pound vest. Build and quality is exactly like the 40 pound vest (which means it's awesome) with of course an extra 60 pounds. The biggest downside is the shipping and handling. An item that's 100+ pounds is going to cost a lot to ship unfortunately. So expect to pay an additional $80-130 on top of the listed price. I purchased directly from ZFO and had no issues.
ZFO ships using USPS Priority Mail so it should arrive within 2-3 days. It comes in 3 boxes. The back. The front. The bars. It's HEAVY. There is a velcro strap that keeps the vest nice and snug during exercises regardless of body shape. The weights can also be adjusted depending on how much you want to train with which is a major plus. I sort of regret purchasing the 40 pound vest now since I could have just bought this one to begin with.
The shoulders still become somewhat uncomfortable after a few minutes of use. They could have added some sort of gel on the shoulders, but I believe this is just due to the nature of the exercise and utilizing weighted vests anyway. I used all 100 pounds at Breakneck Ridge (a very tough Class 3-4 hike in New York). That was probably the toughest workout I've ever done in my life. It usually takes me 20-25 minutes to reach the summit at regular pace. It took me 1.5 hours with the vest on. I had intended on doing an entire trail with it, but half way up, I realized it wasn't going to be possible. The toughest part of the climb came during the descent as the extra 100 pounds taxes the stabilizer muscles at every step.
I don't know if I'd ever use all 100 for a run. I think for now, all 100 pounds will be limited to my climbs at Breakneck. It is HEAVY. I can't emphasize that enough. There are additional pockets to store another 40 pounds worth of bars. I'm not Ron Coleman so I think I'm pretty much happy at 100 pounds for now. But you really do have to be careful and aware of your capabilities before going all out with this thing or else you risk hurting yourself. If you're in great shape already and know you're going to work your way up quickly, I would suggest going straight with this vest than going for the ZFO 40 pounder.
I highly recommend this item to anyone interested in weighted training. It's the best value out there.

The 100 pound weight vest is first rate... even though the overall weight is light, it works out great for high reps without the balancing of the bar on the back. Excellent for high rep squats and lunges... a bit heavy for running. Only complaint is the shipping cost. I thought I had signed up for free shipping with Amazon but was hit with a $130 shipping cost... so shipping is a killer on cost. Product is great!
