I am a retired police officer and I have several men's bag that I carry my handgun and other personal items in. This by far is a great bag for anyone. There is space for a large semi-auto handgun, space for credit cards, and outside pockets for two water bottles. Perfect size with adjustable shoulder strap. This bag is tough, looks great and can be used or carried by either gender. I love this bag!

This bag has plenty of room for the things you think you might need while away from home. I use it for the things we have realized would be good to have at times now that the kids are out of diapers. I have in it, first aid kit (2 day size), 2 backup diapers, 4 disposable ponchos, sanitizing hand wipes, ear plugs for those loud movies, 2 small sippy cups for when the restaurant doesn't have lids, mosquito spray, tissues, crayons, toilet seat covers, sun screen, and still have room for a concealed weapon. I haven't put a firearm in the pocket, but it should support a midsize semi auto, like a G19, just fine. It hangs nice and isn't as hot as a backpack. I have used th side pockets for water bottles a few times and they are a great place to put your sunglasses. I use it to carry the things that make our life easier and safer.Best Deals for 5.11 PUSH Pack
I purchased this bag a few months ago as an everyday carry bag to replace a larger messenger bag. The bag has been very useful for carrying a few daily items such as notebook, a couple of pens, a book, pocket knife, flashlight, water bottle and a handgun when deemed necessary. There are a couple of small pockets, but they can only accommodate items like a knife or small flashlight. The two water bottle holders expand and have Velcro closures, so they can double as extra pockets. The bag can accommodate extra pouches utilizing the MOLLE strap systems, but I have not actually used this option. The only real complaint I have is that the main compartment can barely accommodate a full-size hardback book. I realize the bag may not have been designed for carrying books, but a couple of more inches would have made a big difference. I ordered the OD Green and find the color darker than the on-line swatches, but actually a better color. The bag construction is excellent and delivery was fine. So, if you need a small rugged everyday carry bag give this a try.Honest reviews on 5.11 PUSH Pack
Pro's -1.) Well put together. The value of material from zippers to stitching is beyond comparison and to par with the price. 2.) Once adjusted, it hangs perfectly across the shoulder, crosses the chest in the perfect spot(straight down the middle at a small angle), and meets the hip at a very convenient location. As you slide the strap through the shoulder harness it slides very well and always lands the pack in a handy spot. 3.) Nice CCW option for trips to the store, bank, mall, any place that you don't want anyone knowing that you are concealed carrying. 4.) Great option if you have kids, you need the space anyways, you CCW, and your wife never takes her purse when you head out to shop. 5.) Man purse that isn't 'homosexual' looking. 6.) Great indoor range bag. 7.) Great defense pack for small 9mm / 380's or Sub Compacts. 8.) MOLLE 9.) No purse for your wife, take yours! (LOLOL) If your wife/gf/etc walks out of your sight to shop, she will NOT be victimized by a purse snatcher.
Con's -
the 2 holes in the bottom of the big pouch: water and dirt
1.) This is not good for camping or hiking. It might keep things dry while you carry it, but it will not keep them dry if you end up on the ground and it's wet outside. 2.) Not good as an outdoor range bag. 3.) Small items finding their way to the holes and sticking out or falling out and others things like water/dirt/etc finding it's way into the pack.
CCW
4.) If you are being robbed at gunpoint, you just got robbed or killed. There is no easy way (even if you leave it unzipped) to deploy a Fullsize or compact weapon. Take for instance what I have the Springfriend XDm 3.8 40cal Compact. You end up grabbing the bag with both hands trying to pull the pistol out past the zipper smoothly. And forget carrying the XDm with the extended mag, it takes a BIG effort to get the entire full grip to clear the zipper edges and not get hung up. 5.) The zipper rubs my XDm going in and coming out. 6.) XDm 3.8 almost impossible to get in and out with the extended mag. 7.) When you set the bag down, the tip of your pistol is going to smack the floor/etc if you set it down like a purse. Lay it on the padded / hip side.
Now all and all, I'm going to give it a 5 star because of how well built it is for me and my purpose. Keeping my family safe while 'out and about' at a place of business and not scaring patrons / etc when I walk around and being able to go on a walk with my family and having the extra conceal-ability. My wife not needing her purse, but it still not looking like I'm carrying a purse...it's a pack...

First things first this thing holds a whole lot of stuff.Second Build quality is superb, as I've found with all 5.11 Tactical products (for example, I LIVE in their cargo pants).
Pros: Lots of room, decent number of pockets, decent number of tie down points. Ergonomically designed. Build quality.
Cons: Water bottle pockets work, but I could see larger bottles like my Nalgene falling out if I didn't carabiner it to one of the many MOLLE tie down points. I would have liked a zipper enclosure under the main flap to keep small things from falling out.
Now, I know my cons list looks long, but I really do love this bag. Maybe there's something better out there, but I haven't seen it yet. Since this thing is so thoughtfully put together, you immediately start coming up with MORE things you'd like to see like a grab handle, a zipper enclosure for the main pocket, or replaceable shoulder strap (I'd like to be able to attach my slash-proof carry strap, for instance). But I really can't complain. I really can't complain that there's TOO MUCH space in it so that I load the thing down with heavy things like a liter of water, a full sized SLR camera, 200mm Lens in addition to my EDC sidearm, 3 magazines, a notebook, pens, etc. etc. My shoulder, however CAN complain, but this is entirely my fault.
I'm actually excited to travel with this thing, because I think I can pass this off as my "personal item" on board aircraft, and then manage my main bag as a carry-on.
Cheers!
