I use these for running on pavement 15-25 miles per week. Purchased 2 weeks ago and have used them for 10 runs at 4.5-5.5 miles each. I always use Asics Gel and look for a shoe on the low priced end for budget reasons and also I consider them to be as comfy and performance appropriate as the expensive Asics (as I have used the pricy sneakers as well). The excite fits all expectations. All Asics gels are considered to be "heavy" for a running show but the comfort and support provided is well worth the few added ounces in weight. I would happily but this shoe again. Also, as I've found with all my Asics gels, there is no "breaking in" period...feel perfect the first run!

Great Shoe for the price! The delivered shoe is more of a baby blue than the pictured lavender, but after the first time I wore them to work out I was in love! Running I have great support and the perfect width for spread of my upper foot!
