I use this on my tac. vest, so far its held up pretty good, had someone trying to rip it off about two weeks ago, it just unsnapped one of the quick release buttons, stitching didn't tear at all, dude was twice my size, lol. I have also got it caught on numerous seat belts, underside of tables, etc. holds up just fine, actually better than the radio its holding...

It holds my radio supersnug, doesnt give after you put in, I can hold it upside down with my radio in it, and feel confident its not going to drop out, that without the elastic button snap that goes over your device.

Surprise surprise Amazon actually both pictured and described this product correctly! (Be sure to read detailed descriptions carefully and reviews when buying 5.11 products until the Amazon buyers get their act together on this fine accessory line.) Like all the other 5.11 products in this line, well built and purpose-perfect. The Slickstick Molle connectors are a wonderful innovation. This pouch fits perfectly either on the front of the shoulder straps of my Rush72 bag on top of the C5 (which Amazon calls large) cell phone pouch OR would also strap perfectly on the Molle system on the side pockets keeping a whip antenna out of your face, high and behind. There is a wide top strap on the Rush72 shoulder straps perfect for a remote mic clip. My Yaesu VX7R fits comfortably and completely in this pouch. Don't expect a large brick radio to fit designed for current generation portables. Pouch also works for the largest Garmin GPS/GMRS radios. For tall radios, a mini bungee and Velcro tab on the front will keep the radio snugly in place. I am buying a second one to keep the GPS up front and transceiver on the back. If you look carefully, virtually all the accessory products can be obtained via Amazon Prime my favorite purchase on Amazon this year! (Amazon Prime, that is.)

As expected from 5.11, the pouch is well made. Securely mounted to my MOLLE vest. Holds a Motorola HT1000 with room to spare, but the bungee cord over the top keeps it secure. Plenty of room for a lapel mic connection, or a tactical headset connection on the side. Also holds a taller XTS5000 radio.
