This was a birthday gift for my 9 year old daughter. She recently made a competitive level gymnastics team, level 4, and bean has been one of her weakest events. I inquired with other moms of upper level gymnasts and they said this was the right size, and a GREAT price (including the shipping charges) for a competitive level gymnast to use at home. My daughter was thrilled with the beam, not to mention amazed with the color that matches her room. After only a couple of weeks her teachers have commented on small improvements they notices her making on her own!

This was my daughter's 6th birthday gift. She loves practicing her routine (she's AAU level 2) on it, and just playing on it in general. She and her brother put one end on the folded mat & use it as a ramp for their cars, too. It's also great for her brother, who needs the balance practice (due to epilepsy and med's). The color is vibrant and matches the accent color in our playroom. I like that we can get the higher feet eventually, too (in fact, my daughter has already asked for them). The price was really good, too, compared with others we looked at.
