when there's a wind chill out, you'll need this. great for those who commute by foot. i walk a mere half-mile to work in a rural town where there aren't many places to hide from wind gusts, so these allowed me to breathe (this past january)as those winds blew right in my face-piece. easy to adjust to fit around the face as well. think of this as a scarf that stays on if you need to walk any distance exceeding going to & from a car.

if this item ever becomes available again, order it asap. well worth the low price.

A very useful item for bicycle commuting. My trip is 10 miles each way, and I try to do it as long as temperatures are lower than 90 F and higher than 32 F. When it's in the thirties and low forties, this is very useful for the first half of the ride. Eventually, my face warms up and I don't mind the cold air, so I take it off, but I can do that mid-ride thanks to the velcro strap in the back. Nice product, pretty much unchanged from the ski masks I wore as a teenager in the early 1990s.

This winter has been unbearable. With this on early in the morning (6:00 AM) and I get my walk on to the bus and train. You can get a nice warm face commute to work or to grandmas house like lil red riding hood :) This version is awesome because it also covers your neck, so no cold wind sliding in from the nooks and cranies. Get your shop on!!! Lasts long too, bought this last year and it's still kicking on strong.

I work outside regardless of weather, which means I need outer gear that will protect me. This masque works very well. I like that it has velcro closures, versus pull-over style masks that are cumbersome when in gloves and wearing glasses. The vent ports for nose and mouth protect the majority of those locations while still allowing adequate air flow. Granted I did not run in this masque, so I am not sure how well it will provide air flow in that situation, but in very cold conditions moving equipment and walking around in the snow, this masque worked fine for me.

I would invest in this masque to complement a good set of gloves and hat. Beware of combination balaclavas, better to invest in several useful pieces and combine them than pay for a ill-fitting combined unit.

Bought this as a gift for a friend who recently moved to the East Coast, to help him deal with the winter. It doubles as a great face protector and Halloween costume. Now he looks like a ninja in the office, which is obviously awesome.
