I'll admit, I'm both excited and leery of this product. It coming with EPA warnings doesn't help. I've given it one good test so far, which was about 5 minutes out in my yard, at night, in very humid weather, with mosquitoes everywhere.

I didn't get a single bite, and only saw one come near me, which I snuck up on and it flew away from me. I was wearing normal shorts and this shirt with shoes, even my uncovered areas weren't attacked at all.

The downside: A few days before I got about 200 mosquito bites while not wearing this shirt, emergency car trouble. When I put this shirt on, after about 2 minutes my old mosquito bites started burning and swelling up. They stopped itching about 10 minutes after I took the shirt off. Definitely something I'd keep in mind if I had to wear this for a long time.

Due to this shirt only lasting 70 washes I'm only going to wear it when I need the protection, which means it'll take me a while to update this review with how the shirt reacts with age. I'm planning to pull a doomsday experiment on camera with this as well to see how it works in the middle of MN woods, the ultimate test.

For those of us outside folks that bugs can't wait for us to come outside, this shirt helps! This is my second T-shirt with Insect shield and I have found it go be very effective at keeping them at bay. I finally bought a pair of pants and if I have them both on, Shirt and T-shirt, I am not bothered by any bugs. I do recommend it.

I bought two shirts, one for me and one for my husband along with other bug protection clothing (pants and socks) for my trip to Alaska where the mosquitoes are notorious. We had gone camping, canoeing, and hiking. All the places where you are attacked by bugs. It worked great! The people we were with were covered with mosquitoes, but they stayed away from us. I was not bothered by them at all. I highly recommend this for anyone traveling to places where there are pesky bugs! I didn't notice any smell at all from the clothing, the material felt good next to the skin, and they washed up nicely. Love it!

We've got BUGS in Northern New Hampshire -and this lets you go mow the lawn without that burning deet all over. Great stuff, these shirts work, feel like cotton but breathe better. Cool!

I bought this for my son who is a Boy Scout and camps every month all year. I specifically got it for him to wear on a 7 day canoeing trip in Canada where the bugs apparently are so thick they look like clouds. He said this was very comfortable and helped keep the bugs away. He didn't use bug spray at all (and he had some) and had no bites when he got home (he also had the insect shield pants). He said he either layered this with a long sleeve shirt or wore it alone, depending on the weather.

He has since taken it on every camp out. He is 6'1" and 210 and I got him the XXL. He could have worn an XL, but he like his shirts long and a little loose. Will be buying my younger scout one for next spring/summer camping season also. Highly recommend.
