Don't know how they wear, because we just got them, but they're nice and thick. They're also super soft and comfortable because they have a loopy inner knit (like terry cloth almost?) that cushions your foot. I was worried about the sizing as well, since they only had small and I couldn't figure out what that correlated to in kid shoe size. In case it helps someone else, these fits my 5-year-old son who has a little kid size 13 foot perfectly.

This is the first pair of warm winter socks I've been able to find that really fit my kids well. They LOVE the socks, and their toes stay toasty even in their thin, uninsulated galoshes. My eldest is especially picky about anything that goes on her body, and she loves the way these socks feel.

Best solution I've found for keeping toes warm in a Minnesota winter. My six year old (who wears a size 13/1 boot) loves these socks! I'm betting I'll get another season out of them before my kids feet will out grow them. They are kind of spendy but worth the price.

I bought them for my sons, one 1y.10m., the other 3y.5m.old. It fits my 3 year old son (uses shoesize 10 toddler) and my 9 year old daughter (uses shoesize 3Big Kid) also. For my almost 2 year old son (shoesize 8.5 toddler), they are to big, but I use them for warm feet sleeping. They are very warm, thick and cosy, my kids did not complain about itchyness till yet. I bought some adult socks for me and my husband also, after arriving this, because they feel so cosy warm and soft. My son does not fit in his Timberland trekking boots (size 10 toddler) with this socks, but he fits in his snow boots. If you want to use this socks with shoes, I recomend to buy shoes one size bigger.

I ordered this pack so my kiddos would have some warm socks for cold nights camping in Colorado mountains.

They might be a little too thick and/or uncomfortable for skiing or squeezing into boots. But they are great for my kids to wear with their slippers or Crocs camping and to sleep in
