While I wouldn't want to be standing around in sub-zero temperatures with these, they are great for hiking relative to cost.Best Deals for Outdoor Research Men's Adrenaline Gloves
This is the second Outdoor Reasearch product I have bought and am very happy with it. They fit well and have a good amount of insulation. The gloves extend far enough towards the sleeve to make a good seal too.Honest reviews on Outdoor Research Men's Adrenaline Gloves
This won't be a comprehensive review, because the season doesn't warrant glove wearing yet, so I can't speak to how warm (or not warm) they are. I do have some comments based on my first impressions, though. These gloves are true to fit according to Amazon's sizing charts. My hands are "large" in the sense that they are just on the upper edge between the "large" and the lower edge of the "extra large" category. This made me nervous that I had chosen the correct size when I chose "large" for my shipment. Size-wise, the gloves are precisely as advertised in respect to size and fit to form.
These gloves are attractive and well made. I chose the all black version and am well pleased.
I tried glove liners (bought separately) which I plan to use to increase hand warmth on particularly cold days, and the gloves were only marginally tighter... they are, I estimate, with good liners, still flexible enough to use one's hands for most basic activities.
Previously, I ordered another brand of mid-price gloves on the Internet and they were the opposite of this pair in every respect (ill-fitting, unattractive colors, and cramped).
I think that Outdoor Research is a good brand for mid-priced winter wear (I also have an OR hat) in that they are true to fit and seem to be well enough crafted. I don't think these pieces necessarily match the premium gear that's out there, but these gloves are better made than most ready-to-wear stuff that's more readily available. These gloves are, in my opinion worth the extra few bucks, for fit alone.
