I have ankle socks from Swiftwick and I wanted a higher sock. I purchased this one and I am very happy. It is a compression/sport sock. There is no cotton in it what so ever so it doesn't hold much moisture which is good. Also I would recommend not even drying them after you wash them because when you take them out of the washer they are fairly dry and doing this will prolong the life of the socks.
They have a tight fit and are very snug. The seems are high quality.
I cannot stress this enough: They are made in the USA with minimal packaging!
You do pay a premium price, but if you ask me and if you like your socks (socks aren't just socks to you) then they are definitely worth the investment!

OK so these are the most expensive socks i ever bight. I figured I'd try one pair for traveling, since I'm on the road a lot and needed them to quick-dry after washing. Since then I've started using them for bicycling and running (the white ones) and have 8 pairs in total!

My Father got me the 7 inch Swiftwick Compression socks and let me tell you. My first impression when i put on the socks was that they were extremely comfortable.
