I picked up this headband for myself a few years ago and it's the perfect weight to protect the ears with minimal bulk for use under a cycling helment. Although thin, I never found myself wanting anything thicker when road or MTB riding down into the low 40's degree F and also for use on winter walks into the low 30's if the wind is light. I bought this second Sugio MidZero headwarmer for my wife so I wouldn't have to keep handing mine over to her when rides got cooler than expected. I bought this specifically for running with earbuds in temperatures in the low 40's. It's almost too warm for that range, I end up pulling it off in the cool-down stage.It definitely soaks up a lot of sweat as well but so far I haven't had any problems with smells. I rinse it out and let it air dry every couple runs depending on how bad it gets.
It's very soft. Would probably work well with my bike helmet if I ever needed it.
