I bought the Polar Wear Link Nike+ Transmitter Set CE0537 to use with my Nike+ SportWatch GPS, currently on version 5.2.0, from a local running store. I researched and knew some models wouldn't work with the SportWatch GPS, so carefully chose the CE0537 which even indicates on the package it compatibility with Nike+. The package's backside indicates the Nike+ devices this transmitter works with includes the iPod Nano 5th and 6th generation while using the Nike+ iPod sport kit, or the Nike+ SportBand and Nike+ SportWatch GPS.
Preparing the Polar Wear Link Nike+ Transmitter Set CE0537 for use was simple, but required reading the instructions. First I wet the electrode areas of the strap under running water, attached the transmitter to the strap, then fastened the strap around my chest just below the pectorals with the transmitter logo in the central upright position. The strap should be tightened enough for the electrode strips to be pressed firmly against the skin, but still be comfortable. Not following these instructions may result in faulty readings.
Once wearing the Polar Wear Link Nike+ Transmitter Set CE0537, made in China, I went for my run. The Nike+ SportWatch GPS paired with the transmitter, accurately tracked my heart rate, and then displayed the results on the NikePlus website.
If you're looking for a polar heart rate monitor to use with your Nike+ SportWatch GPS the Polar Wear Link Nike+ Transmitter Set CE0537 is the correct model to purchase. Just be sure to follow the directions and everything will work as expected.
PROS:
Works with Nike+
Simple to use
Accurate results
CONS:
A bit pricey

I was afraid to order this product because there was a review stating that it did not work with the Nike+ Sportsband but I bought it anyway since the Nike website said that it's compatible so I took a leap of faith. I was able to get this linked up and running within seconds. It was extremely accurate as I compared it to the machine that my personal trainer uses as well. The band fits comfortably under my clothes and I don't even notice that I have it on.I'm pretty picky when it comes to products such as these since they have such a hefty price tag. So far this device as performed well and has lived up to its description.

I bought this to go with my Nike+ Sportwatch. There is nothing that says it only works with certain Nike+ items. I received model number CE0537, and after having trouble using it on my first run (it got stuck at 128 BMP and told caused the watch to tell me I had burned just 56 calories for a 5.9M run), I called Nike and they said this model is not compatible with the Sportwatch. Now I am not sure how to buy it and make sure I am getting the right model. Nike is supposed to e-mail me a list of the correct model numbers to use with Sportwatch, so if they do I will update this review.Honest reviews on Polar 2013 Wearlink Nike+ Transmitter Set
Links just fine with Nike+ SportWatch GPS Powered by TomTom (Black/Volt) as well as the cardio equipment in my local gym (and can talk to both at the same time). Seems accurate enough, or at least self-consistent (I have no way to cross-check, but displayed BPM agrees with my sense of level-of-effort, and is consistent across runs). I don't think it's revolutionized my training or anything, but it's another piece of data and the graphs are pretty (the elevation profile of a run, alongside heartrate and pace, gives you a pretty good story of how your workout went).Be aware that this will *not* communicate with the Nike+ app on smart phones; don't let the branding mislead you, the sensors only talk to the watch.
The band doesn't really feel constricting when running; wetting it before each run is a bit of a hassle but not as cold as I'd worried it would be (and sweat handles it after that). In a little over a month of running with it, I've had the latch pop open once it was raining pretty heavily that day, and my shirt might have been dragging against it, but I wouldn't want that to happen if I was wearing this in a race. Otherwise, it's been easy to attach, has always linked immediately with the watch, and basically no problems.
