Kind of surprised the other reviewers haven't commented much on the sizing of these kneepads. My calves are 15-1/2" circumference (not exactly massive), and the size L/XL pad was impossible for me to put on. With all straps loosened all the way, the lower end of the pad was still not even close to fitting over my calf. I gave the product four stars anyway for apparent build quality and generous padding on the front and sides of the knee area. Can't comment on comfort since I couldn't actually get the kneepad on.

Sizing info on these specific pads seems hard to find. The Fox size charts I did find show info for three straps (top, middle, bottom), but these pads only have upper and lower straps. Anyway, unless your calves are smaller than mine you won't be able to get these pads on, so hopefully that bit of info will help someone.

I am a BMX rider in my mid-twenties and these are the most comfortable knee pads I have ever worn. I don't bail to my knees a lot so it is not a problem for me that there is no hard cup on the outside. If you are a vert rider, you might want something that would slide along the ramp/ground better, but these are great for riding dirt and street.

I picked up these knee pads as a piece of mind on my trail riding around NJ and have worn them roughly 10 12 times. The fit is fantastic and stay in place rather well, like many others have said I do not even notice them when riding (no hindering of movement). I have never really fallen on them during my rides until i went to MCBP (mountain creek bike park) for my first ever down hill adventure. I rented a DH bike and full face helmet but wore my FOX Launch Pro knee pads and boy did they come in handy!! I had fallen 5 times onto various rocks and was left a bit shaken but was able to recover quickly and continued on. At the end of the day i did a full body inspection and gear check where the knee pads showed signs of contact (ground in dirt) but no damage and i felt a bit sore. Over the next couple of days i noticed many bruises all over my legs and ankles but my knees are completely unmarked. I know i hit my knees on the ground/ bike when i fell (once rather hard on the inner side or rt knee)and to see no bruises on my knees i credit entirely to these pads. I can not say what would of happened if i had no knee protection on, but based on where i hurt I fully support this product for aggressive trail riding and the minor DH experience! **Note** My right knee is a bit sore from the side impact, BUT no hindering of movement or swelling so i can only imagine what would of happened with no knee protection!

Awesome knee protection... stayed where i put it all day on the mountain... had a little irritation from the tag in the back but well worth it because you don't notice till the end of the day and it isn't that bad... bottom line: awesome product, highly recommend...

After my last trip to the ER for stitches in one of my knees and 1400 bucks out of pocket from what insurance doesn't cover. I decided it was time for some knee pads. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and searched through several forums of others opinions. I purchased these through Amazon as the deal was right and they had my size in stock.

I've worn these pads now about twice a week for the last couple of months and have not had to use them yet. The stay on and in place the elastic / velcro closure are easy to use and seem like they will last a while.

After getting used to them you can barely tell you have them on. I'm sure the next wreck I have these knee pad's will more than pay for themselves.
