After an extensive search I found these sliding shorts for my daughter. The shorter ones didn't give her adequate protection and left her with may hip burns and abrasions because they bunched up when sliding. These are the only ones I've found that are quite longer and tapered at the leg opening so they can't ride up when sliding. The padding is not bulky and offers some nice extra cushion. Nicely constructed and are holding up well after numerous washings. We're ordering a few more pairs.

These are super padded and the perfect length. The first sliders I've seen that are this padded. Love them I suggest these to anyone wanting good sliders.

My 12u travel softball playing daughter has 2 pairs of these. They fit great and work well, but one pair had the padding bunch up inside the separate sections and she now has "lumpy thighs" under her pants. She still wears them and they still work, but I do not know why this happened with one of the 2 pairs.

I listened to the other reviewers who said the shorts ran small and ordered a size bigger for my 10 year old daughter. They fit perfectly! My daughter slides a lot, so the longer length and padding provides her with the protection she needed..
