Perfectly fine running shorts with a built in liner that can be removed easy. They have a pocket in the back that is large enough for two gels and my keys, but too small for a smart phone (at least my giant HTC One X+). Medium level of elasticity for the shorts, great for running longer distances when you want a little material between your legs as a big guy to prevent chafing. As for the liner/underwear, they fit close to boxer briefs, but are not tight like compression shorts. They are long and flexible enough to wear while working out in a gym without getting funny looks (seriously, who works out in 1" inseams?).

These shorts are light and comfortable. I bought these to try out because of the detachable boxer brief liner. The liner is out of this world. Feels like silk but stretches like spandex. My only complaint is there is only a hideaway pocket, no side pockets for gels or music player or phone. Not "versatile" in my opinion.

But what I do like is that if you get too warm during a run, you can take the shorts off and keep going with the liner on. It's nice enough to be used alone as a running tight.

4 stars only because lack of pockets.
