I had a pair of shorts made of similar material, took me a good deal of searching to find these shorts, but I'm glad I did! Apparently these are 100% nylon

Pros:

A. very light

B. very comfortable

C. comes with a drawstring, I'd recommending sizing up once and taking advantage of that

D. durable! was dragging my butt on Capitols ke, thought for sure I'd end up tearing these, but they held up like a champ

E. flexible! great for any hiking moves where you really have to stretch

Cons:

A. price, dang!

B. if I had to come up a complaint it would be extremely minor, these pants are almost a teensy bit too long

Basically any complaints I had about these shorts I would have known about when buying these, so they still get 5 stars

This is my second pair in tan color. My first one is dark olive. My go-to shorts! Most comfortable and most versatile. Pockets are most functional in all right places. Fabric is super comfortable and fast drying. Draw cord is an excellent idea. I don't like wearing belts with light shorts. One word of caution for this tan color. It is a bit see thru, so plan a lighter color underwear.

Ive had two pair and one had a button fall off after snagging in the laundry so make sure to wash these inside out. Lightweight, sweat free, water resistant shorts that will suit the needs of banal and outdoor occasions alike. You'll be ready to grab a beer in town without changing or worrying about them jilting your style. Also a great pair of shorts for the pack, as I find it almost impossible to make em' wrinkly.

I bought these shorts after spending a day at an amusement park sweating in ridiculously long lines, and clinging to my cargo pockets on each roller coaster so I didn't shower the crowd below with my stuff. You're probably thinking, "amusement park shorts... seems like a narrow niche" but these shorts have so many other potential uses.

PROS:

-Lightweight

-Comfortable

-Crucial pockets zip closed

-Attractive color

-Could easily be used as a bathing suit in a pinch

-Excellent shorts for traveling to hotter climates (especially if you ever forget to bring a bathing suit)

CONS:

-These are made of a thin, lightweight synthetic fabric. They don't look like twill cotton.

-They look a little juvenile on me (I'm in my early 30s); they would probably look more appropriate on a teenager with a skateboard
