Once again, another incorrect Amazon main title description but thanks to some careful reading of the detailed product description I did in fact get exactly what I wanted which was the 5.11 MEDICAL 6x6 pouch. This is great construction as expected from 5.11. Inside, the two sides of the pouch have zippered mesh to provide for retention of medical supplies when opening. Some unusually small loops on the inside spine might hold a pen or some tweezers or small caribiners on pouches to dangle inside the center between the two mesh pouches. Will have to experiment. Unlike the picture shown for this item which is also incorrect, there is a First Aid cross in the same earth tone on the outside of this pouch where the top Molle row would otherwise be allowing you to quickly identify the pouch without calling attention to the overall pack with a differently colored cross. This pouch fits perfectly on the hip strap of the Rush72 pack allowing quick access to First Aid supplies if needed. This does however create a wide profile at the hip so if you swing your arms tight to your body when walking/hiking you might prefer a different location. As mentioned in my other reviews of this product line, the Slickstick innovation for the back straps on the 5.11 pouches allows for easy Molle-ing without mauling. Another fine 5.11 product. Amazon might sell more if they would describe and picture more carefully.

I bought this medical pouch to compliment my 5.11 Rush 72 pack. I use these items for my Bug Out Bag and also when I go camping. This pouch integrated seamlessly with the Rush 72 and holds an incredible amount of medical supplies for its size. I currently have 92 medical items neatly stored in this pouch and I have room for more. It's actually smaller than a USMC issued IFAK, but carries the supplies better being that it has the zip-up mesh pockets inside and it also has zippers to secure it. The only thing I did to it was spray it down with Heavy Duty CampDry because I do that with all my field gear to waterproof it. I have and still would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a medical kit that can hold a lot!

To start with, the picture of this item (long retangular) is WRONG. I bought it based on the description and all is well. This pouch attaches to any MOLLE compatible harness or pack. I have attached mine to the outside of my 5.11 pack. The attachement uses the 5.11 SlickSticks which makes it much easier to use.

The pouch is well made with the first aid "cross" embroidered on the front face. When you open it you have two generous zippered compartments. The actual measurements of the pouch are 6 x 6 x 4 so you have room for most of your first aid supplies.

The pouch is available in black, tan and olive drab. For a better picture of this product, go to .

It would be nice if the seller had the proper picture as I did have some doubts when I ordered it, but again, all is well.

With the pouch mounted outside my pack, I never have to dig through the interior to find it.

Honest reviews on 5.11 Tactical Medical Pouch SlickStick System Pouch 6x6 Soft 58715

I was able to pack 2 Israeli bandages, multiple gauze packs, 7.5 inch medical sciccors, multiple hemostats, and many other items too. To put it simple this one 6"x6" pack is a better med kit than the backpack full of junk that I was issued. The MOLLE/PALS quick connects are another 5.11 standard fair and work wonderfully and securely. The med cross on the cover is easily identifiable even under the harshest conditions. There are packs out there that are slightly better made, but those cost several times more.

This bag is just right for a diy first aid kit for my car. Holds more than I thought it would. My only complaint is the elasticized bands on the inside spine (bottom of inside the bag) they are way too tight to serve much purpose. When I saw those, thought that would be great to hold my little Fenix light secure no dice. Can't get light into the bands. If only they weren't as tight, they would serve a purpose. But as is, useless as far as I can tell. Other than that, great little bag.
