I am currently using the Source Outdoors Magnetic Clip on with my 3L Tactical Source Hydration system. The magnet is very strong for it's size and I have had no problems with it detaching while hiking. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because when used with Helix tube kits it is very tight and pinches the tube a bit. I have not noticed any reduction in the amount of water flow, but taking it on and off the tube is wearing the weave out in that spot. All in all this was a good buy, but a little pricey at the time I bought it for what it is.

Very strong magnet ensures the drinking tube always stays in place. Don't know why Camelbak doesn't have this as a standard feature.. they should!

This is a necessity for any hydration system used in a backpack. It is universal and should work with most hydration tubes and backpack chest straps. Being universal, one could place the clip on magnet on any strap which is 2cm or less in width. I am surprised there are not more versions of these magnetic clips. These could be useful to temporarily hold tent straps, hat brims, rain coat hoods, etc...
