Can you imagine getting a top of the line late season purchase for around $100? Neither could I! I am so looking forward to doing some hunting with this next season.

This parka is very well made with soft waterproof fabric and is very warm as well. Plus I like the removable inner jacket and hood and the deep zippered pockets that nothing can fall out of.As for the camo pattern, anything will work when your back is to a tree and a deer approaches head on. But as we know, they usually come from the sides or sneak up from behind. That is when this camo really shines! I have patterns from both of the other major brands(you know who they are), and when I get spotted by a deer they stare for a minute or more at the blob sticking out from the tree. With Vertigo, deer have seen me move and looked up, but all they see is branches and sky and they look back down within a few seconds. No doubt about it, this camo works, but it's probably at its best when there are no leaves on the trees. I haven't tried it early season and I'm not so sure about all that light gray when everything behind me is brown and green, but it is awesome when the trees are bare!

I purchased the 4 in 1 parka large and am very happy with the quality and the color pattern of the vertigo tan... It truly is waterproof on the outside shell and the hood that attaches by velcro the collar was a nice wind blocker when i was in a major wind and rain storm... I stayed dry and was not only warm... i got too warm and had to take off the inside reversable liner and still stayed comfortable in the 24 degree weather... This is my favorite coat jacket parka that i have ever owned.... when prices go down again i am going to buy another set for myself and one for my dad!!! Oh and the many pockets are a major plus... i didnt have to carry my usual extra pack... the pockets were more than enough room without making me feel all crammed.. well insulated also nothing in pockets got wet... nice and dry in and out!!!! what a beautHonest reviews on Native Species Men's Thunderhawk 4-In-1 Parka
I was unaware of the fall hunting sale from Amazon that other reviewers mentioned, but I sure got a great deal on a new set of camo gear. I have traditionally been a fan of RealTree camo patterns (especially AP), but oftentimes I find that they seem to not blend the human outline well. This effect is amplified if you are skylined. I picked this Vertigo camo pattern because it appeared more open and would break up your outline better.Once I received it, I was immediately thrilled. I ordered the tan Vertigo Thunderhawk parka along with the Native Species Men's Thunderhawk Pant with Suspenders and some gloves/hat in the camo as well. All of the products were of fine craftsmanship and design. Thought was put into the design as everything is very quiet material, snaps and magnets were used in place of velcro, and zippers are easily manipulated with gloves on. I did not have the same experience on the sizing of some other reviewers. I usually wear large size t-shirts and jackets so I ordered a large jacket and it fits me great. There is plenty of room inside and it is easy to move in. I have been mostly wearing just the shell with the liner zipped out and find it very roomy. I would say that unless you are borderline and sometimes wear an XL shirt or jacket, stick with the large. One thing that some people might notice is the sleeves on these jackets are not as loose/baggy as some other coats as they are designed to be used by bow hunters. It hasn't been an issue for me (even though I don't bow hunt) and I don't think it wears or looks weird at all. The Thunderhawk pants run a little big on me (34" waist), but that is okay with the suspenders or a belt.
I have already worn them 2 full days in the elements and they are very warm, wind resistant, and waterproof. Very nice rain gear!! I highly recommend it along with the Native Species Men's Durahunt 6-Pocket Deluxe Pant which can be easily worn underneath the Thunderhawk pants depending on weather. I scored those here from Amazon for less than 20 bucks. Works great for me and it was an incredible deal! It looks like prices have gone back up but check the manufacturer's website. They had some good deals too.
You probably can't find a better deal on camo gear than this Vertigo camo line from Native Species. I ordered all of my gear in the tan color which seemed to be much less expensive than the gray for most items. The parka was under 50 dollars and the pants w/suspenders were under 30. I am now a fan and hope Native Species puts out some more options and camo varieties.
NOTE : This is not scent-lock clothing. I noticed this camo pattern is exclusively sold as scent-lock and is very expensive. All of the Native Species clothing is non scent-lock.

I bought this jacket to go with the matching pants I bought ( Native Species Men's Thunderhawk Pant with Suspenders ). I am impressed with both products especially at this low of a price point. I will agree with the last reviewer that the fit is snug if you order your "regular" size. I bought a medium and I am on the lower numbers of the size guide and it is a little tight. This doesn't bother me as overly loose fitting coats won't keep you insulated as well. I don't think I could wear anything more than a single thermal base layer without it being too tight to function so keep that in mind when ordering. It seems pretty warm but I haven't had any really cold weather yet so I'll update this after first shotgun season in December. Also, I'm hoping it doesn't rain or sleet while I'm out there but if it does I'll address that when I update!
**Bottom Line: This jacket is comparable in quality to similar products I've had in the past but for a much lower price.
