Pearl Izumi makes a great "transfer" Balaclava. However, for 40 plus degree weather. I prefer/wear the Rothco

G.I. Polypropylene Balaclava sold by Amazon for 9 bucks for under 40 degrees.

Very nice. Keeps your head and neck very warm. Wish the area at the bottom of the face was breathable, so you can pull it over your mouth when it's really cold.

a bit warm (thicker than UnderArmor balaclava) but good quality and seams aren't too thick

I need a balaclava only when it's so cold I need to cover my face, so I HAVE to be able to breathe through it. I can breathe through this okay for about half an hour, then my spit starts forming a layer which this doesn't absorb, it just seems to coat the inside. When I wash it, I have to go through the extra effort of scrubbing the mouth area. Before leaving the house with it on, I have to make sure to scour all traces of lip moisturizer from my mouth. They can leave the rest of the product as is, that part's great, but replace the mouth panel with a low maintenance, no buildup fabric.
