I bought the Nathan Intensity Race Vest locally (not from Amazon) the other day, in order to go on a race through the outdoors. I needed something light, durable, and with the ability to hold both enough water and supplies for my 6 hour outdoor trek through rough terrain. What 1st attracted me was the weight the product was indeed lighter than others I looked at. I also loved the respective pockets on each of the shoulder straps (sadly not pictured here) that enabled me to reach for a snack bar or my asthma spray or camera quickly if I needed it instead of having to stop to take off the pack to access these items from the other pocket to the front (yep there are three pockets total). The front zippered pocket is large enough to hold wallet, phone some additional power bars and there's a clip for keys. Even when filled to the 2L capacity, the vest felt light and the S-curve design fit comfortably over my curves that I honestly didn't feel the weight at all. It was comfortable and really felt 'barely-there'. The quick access clip for the hydration hose was also utilitarian as well. The only thing I didn't like was the colour availability locally there was a grey and light blue. I'd have preferred darker colours to hide the dirt. I see that Amazon has two other light colours available as well. My hydration pack came back dirty at the end of the trek but was able to wash well in the washing machine. All in all though it's a great little pack that I have no regrets in purchasing.

To any of you worried about the fit, especially the sternum strap: Try adjusting it again! After seeing several reviews complaining that the sternum strap was nowhere near the user's sternum (even used as an under-boob strap), I was anxious to see how it would fit me. After fitting it to myself, I think all these women are all making the same mistake. To avoid the problem, loosen all of the straps all the way, then put it on. That's right, move the little elastic holders and loosen every strap all the way. Now put it on. Line up the front of the harness as you wish to wear it, which will probably look more like a vest than backpack straps. There shouldn't be very much wrinkling or bulging of the material. Then, move the sternum strap sliders to the height you would like them (i.e. across your sternum), buckle the buckle, and tighten most of the slack out of that strap without tugging the sides closer together. Now tighten the other straps evenly (remember, there are two straps per side). Again, this is more like a vest than a backpack. It's okay that the pouches are in front of you if they are to the sides, you'll interfere with your armswing.
When this pack is adjusted properly, it fits like a dream. It doesn't feel like I'm carrying all the water and supplies I need. Also, don't forget that the tube can be cut if there's too much length for you just remove the bite valve and use sharp scissors.

I love this Race Vest. It's the most comfortable one I've ever used. Holds two liters which is more than enough for me to run a marathon with. Even full i can't really feel iton my back. No friction, no bouncing and you really do forget it's even on you once you settle into your run.
I'm a 5'9, 170 lb muscular guy and this fits me wonderfully. I may look a little fruity wearing because of the size ratio and the pastel color, but whatever, it's a great vest
