I just want to start off by saying that I had almost no expectations for this baselayer going into it. I like columbia gear so I figured I would give it a shot. At first glace I must admit that I too thought hey, this omni-heat thing looks a little silly. I mean, its just little reflective dots. Come on. BUT, when I got it I had just been working outside in a similar, cheaper long sleeve shirt. It was around 50 degrees with a strong breeze out. Nothing terrible but I was a little cold. I put this thing on and after a couple minutes I was warm again. Basically, I'll be darned if this stuff doesn't work! I was shocked at how effective it is. It very nearly feels like having a small heater against your skin. Now, keep in mind that it is thin and wicks sweat too so if you just wear this you can expect to be cold in wind, but its a baselayer. Put something on over it like you should. After a hike to test the sweat wicking I was sold. Great choice this is.

BOTTOM LINE: This reflective thing works. It is not life changing, but its a heck of a lot warmer than something without the reflective liner. So don't let that stop you from buying it. Not a gimmick. Excellent quality.

I received this shirt last week, and used it for the first time this morning. It was 17 degrees out. I had this under a long sleeve cotton shirt (might have been defeating the purpose of wicking material, but I was still warm, and it still worked), and then a light waterproof running zip up coat. This material really works. When I was done, this base shirt was dry as a bone, but my cotton shirt and outer layer shell coat were pretty damp!

The shirt is super tight and very unflattering on me. I would never be seen with this shirt on without something over it. That is not important, as this is billed as a base layer. The price on Amazon was better than at other places, too.

This baselayer fits well. They are very comfortable to wear, and they allow you to move freely, which I was concerned may not be so. I haven't try it in extreme cold temperatures yet cause I'm saving it for a trip, but when I wore them at home I could feel they kept my body heat within few minutes after putting it on.

Bought it for running during the cold mornings. Soon realized that the omni tech reflectors liked to stick to my skins once I started sweating. It works great if I wasn't doing anything active but not so great for running.

I use this for Work. I Own a Car Wash and work all winter! I use this under poly/wool then under a nice hoody,. It work's great. The more you work and move.. The hotter you get.

Fit I am 6'2 and skinny and lanky with long arms. I got a large. The large is nice and tight and slim how ever the arms are nice ang long! Fits great. I usally wear a medium. How ever size up since its a nice slim fit..
