I bought this gift for my husband, he loves ExOfficio gear. We live in Houston where on December 4th it's 80 degrees and the mosquito's are out in full force! These shirts are light weight, don't fade, great quality, the list goes on....Great buy I only wish they weren't so pricey and I would buy more.

I have an older Ex Officio Buzz Off shirt which is button up/collared. That shirt is still working after about 5 years however it is made from a heavier fabric and is less comfortable in hot weather. This new shirt is of lighter material and more comfortable for hot weather and casual activities. We live in an area with ticks, chiggers, noseeums plus the usual mosquitoes etc. This shirt works for all of those and having long sleeves and T collar means more sun protection(Note: no SPF protection claimed) and less need for DEET.

Comfortable. Strong smell. But, we did not have any bugs on our Africa trip in September which is Springtime there. Best thing is that we wore this stuff in lieu of repellant and got no bites.

I have two t-shirts one long sleeve and one short sleeve. I guess the short sleeve was pointless..So long sleeve is great I'm 5'7" 170lbs 40" chest and Medium fits nice. I guess if you have a bit of extra weight in the mid section you may want to go up a size. I see some complaints about fit. My girlfriend is 5'3" 128lbs 36 chest and medium fits her good, little loose, but comfy loose. These seem to work ok in the areas they cover. Still in the upper peninsula of Michigan, mosquito's are the state bird and by our cabin they pretty much drink 100% deet, so we try anything and everything. Ours did not smell as some people stated, The fit was fine (average size individual, We follow the label for care and wash separate. It would be nice to find these in a better wicking material maybe the thick material is the key to mosquito penetration. I'm guessing they work great in Africa, Costa Rica where the insects are not bombarded with various pesticides to adapt to like the U.S.

I own a hunting camp in the woods of central Maine. From May to September I'm there monthly to mow a 5 acre field, put up fire wood, and perform other camp stuff. I've been using ExOfficio insect repellant clothing for 5 years, and it's done a great job of protecting me from the deer ticks, black flies, mosquitos, midges, and all of large bitting flies that thrive in the area. A little 100% Deet on the exposed skin, and I'm good to go.
