I am embarassed to say I have been wearing these shorts for 7 years. They are comfortable beyond belief, wash and dry great, wear like no other, lots of pockets if you need them. Wonderful, I own all colors.

I purchased these shorts last year. I received several compliments on them that those one pair were the only shorts I wore, every single day! Now that summer is around the corner, I am on Amazon buying yet another pair. I am not the thinnest person. I am 5'10" with a "mom" stomach and thighs are about 26" around. I am not curvy, but a huge rectangle that isnt very thin, but I dont have a large butt or hips that stick out from my waist. My whole midsection is just strait. If you have a smaller waist then you do hips, there are two buttons on the side that you can adjust. Now I am not proud of my figure, but a 16 fits me. I was thinner last year and the shorts looked better on me then, but I can still get them on and I plan to drop some weight and I will look even better in them. I like the way they are not long "mom" looking shorts, and they are not ride up my crotch teen shorts. The inseam is 4 inches, BUT it has a 3" "croch" panel that kinda widens your seat that prevents them from riding up and cutting in. There has been some mild pilling on the croch panel, but that is because my thighs rub on it. I noticed as I gained weight the pilling started. I never put these in the dryer, only wash with Method soap, and never a fabric softener. I regularly would pull them out of the washer and just put them on. They would dry in the Atlanta heat in a few minutes!

I have several pairs of these Backcountry shorts, and love them. I use them for hiking on vacation because they have roomy pockets and because they are crinkle material, if they get wadded up in a suitcase, no problem. Then, just about all summer I wear them at home. They are a little pricey, but they are worth it--every penny.
