I've always preferred Sugoi RS or RSE shorts for long rides (35+ miles) as the chamois is the most comfortable. These are no exception. My thigh is fairly large so the lower band is snug, but not uncomfortably so. I prefer the long length as I'm not a young girl anymore! The medium fits me well (5'7" and 145 lbs) but there's no room for growth!! My other favorites are Louis Garneau Neo Power in the longer length though I've found the Equipe good but not as good as the Neo Power. My Pearl Izumi's Elite and Select shorts chamois aren't as comfortable for me so I save those for shorter rides.Update: 10/25/13
These shorts have a low, horizontal abdominal seam. After wearing 4-5 times, this seam failed (I'm grateful it didn't happen on a ride!!!) and opened a gap of approximately 5". I'm not sure why Sugoi included this horizontal seam in the design of compression shorts, as pulling up or down would place a great deal of stress on the seam. Also, this seam is heat or chemically stitched (probably to prevent rubbing from threaded stitching) as there were no loose threads after failing. I'm removing only 2 stars as there is the chance that I just got a faulty pair, but in my opinion it's not the best design!
