Couldn't be more excited about my new PrAna Monarch convertible pant. I do biological sampling in beach environments and I need gear that is versatile, durable, and long enough for my 34" stems! I have literally been searching for decent, LONG women's field pants for the last 7 years and have found NOTHING, until now.

Have done some light field work in them and have found them to be a good lightto mid-weight fabric. The fabric is stretchy, which makes it easy to move in them, plus they fit great! I'm ordered my normal size and they fit just right, snugly at first then loosening up just a little after a few minutes. Though I can't speak for their long-term durability yet, they went through the dryer with no shrinkage, and all the zippers seem sturdy and smooth. On top of that, I actually LOOK good while I'm working. An added bonus!

Kudos to PrAna for being (as far as I know) the FIRST company to make a quality women's active pant in a longer length! I will be ordering more, and I will tell all my tall friends!

these run big and small and just right. maybe because mine are all different colors, the dye lots dictate the fit. but the quality control people are lagging on what would otherwise be a perfect pant. perfect for motorcycling in texas heat, lots of great pockets, and SPF built in. good looking as capris also.

After wearing them a bit they stretch out. I am 5' 9" and 150 lbs I bought the size 8, but should have gone with the size 6. Other than that these pants are very durable and take a beating on top of a great but somewhat baggy fit.

I love these pants! They actually fit properly all over and are long enough. I usually wear a 35 in inseam and these are more than long enough, I have to roll them up just a bit when wearing sandals. I typically wear aiko or suki style Silver jeans and these pants fit very similar to those style of jeans. If you are Canadian you can go try on the regular length Monarch Convertible pants at Mountain Equipment Co-op to see how they fit in the waist and hips. The versatility of these pants are great for traveling, my only complaint is that when you zip of the bottom legs the capri is a bit of an awkward length. it hit me right at the knee, but considering how great the pants are for everything else I can live with this. My two favorite features of these pants are 1) The material is stretchy, so you are never restricted in your movements and 2) the pants have a draw string on the inside of the waist band, you can definitely get away with out wearing a belt.

I have searched and searched for convertible pants for the last six months and I finally tried these. I now where them as everyday pants because they look so great on. My butt actually looks cute in them! I hiked for 80 miles on the JMT and you couldn't even tell they were dirty. The fabric is awesome. Comfortable, long enough, stylish for going out in while traveling....I just can't say enough about these!!
