These are quality merino wool socks. They stay up as much as any below-the-calf wool socks do, which means I pull them up a couple times a day to keep them sharp looking. This color (grey, red, charcoal) looks great paired with slacks that have a hint of red or purple in them, or with grey slacks and a shirt with those colors. As with all patterned wool socks I've worn, there is slight fraying where the colors change. This happens with my smartwool argyle socks also, but is much worse with them than with this brand. I am very happy with the look and wear of them so far (4 months or regular wear).

Things to note:

Slight fraying, so if you need your socks to look streamlined and perfect, these aren't for you.

Great color and the stripes do not detract at all, in my opinion.

Below the calf so they won't stay up all day without a little adjusting.

well made and feel great on your feet, nothing like itchy wool socks. They also retain there shape, color etc. after washing...Well worth the cost...

I've been working at replacing all of my everyday dress socks over the past year with merino wool socks for their great temperature regulation and breath-ability. These socks are no exception.

They are just the right weight to be worn all year round. The stitching between the striped section and the solid portions are well done with no seam the bother you inside a pair of shoes.

Construction is much better than the Teko socks I own, and rates about equal with Smartwool. I will say that these tend to pill a bit more than the Smartwool socks, but these come in more colours and and get comments from the single ladies in my office.
