I was a lover of the Equinox pant, but when unable to find the same exact pants, I had to buy their "newer" version of the same product. The problem is that although they changed colors, cinches at the bottom cuff, they failed to make a useful belt and that stinks. You can pull it tight to support, but it slips back almost immediately and you have to constantly pull up your pants, and thus, it interferes with all your normal sport or active movements. Very sad about that, as I bought three different colors of them and it is the same problem across the board. My other Equinox pants before these color and belt changes hold great. I think it is a major flaw, as these types of pants will not fit perfectly without that belt being cinched and holding secure without slippage. A major kill on what used to be a fantastic product. The belt is literally for show and zero function. Changes everything.

These pants look like you're wearing trash bags on your legs. The belt is pathetic. The back pockets are a joke–very shallow and very high up. I would imagine anything you put in them would fall right out. They are thin and lightweight.

These pants fit as expected. They are loose fitting. I wear 36-38 x 34. I got the 36s and they fit just right. length is great. The pants are light weight, feels like you are not wearing any pants! very breathable and fast drying. rugged material, heavy use around garage and backpacking in the mountains around Botchers Gap in CAhaven scratched or ripped yet. I also own Arborwear technical pantsAwesome as wellthe Arborwear pants are thicker thoughbetter for cold weather use.

This pair of pants really came through for me in my travels into the Americas -fit as expected, extremely light yet durable, easy to wash by hand, and highly versatile (adapted to climbing yet could wear for a night out on the town) -highly recommended.

I'm looking for pants to walk the Camino de Santiago and ones that I can wash at night and run off w/the next day. I bought one pair to validate size/fit and material...and looks like I'll be buying more. Nice pants. I read other reviews and see zero issue w/the belt. The only reason I didn't rate them as a 5 star is the back pocket which is nice and deep has no Velcro or button closure. That would make them a five star.
