Normally I wear a medium, so I bought a medium. While this shirt fits me pretty well, I find the fit has a lot of travel across my chest while running. It also has a propensity to bunch beneath the arms, with the sleeves inching up into my armpits little by little. The movement of the shirt across the chest could really cause some nasty chaffing if it goes on too long.

However, this is all balanced by the fact that the shirt leaves me feeling cooler than if I'm running or cross training shirtless. It also looks good and fits my build well (really important stuff, that looking good!).

I would buy the shirt maybe a size larger than normal.

I bought this as a gift for my friend. He is 5'10" height, 168lbs. It is slim fit yet not too tight. Great color. Very soft and light. He loves it.
