Great gloves, great price, but they do run small based on my experience. I have relatively big hands but not huge (I am 5'9) and the size large was way too tight. Sizing seems to be similar to Giro. Overall, assuming you get the right size, these gloves are high quality, comfortable, and a great purchase for any type of mountain biking except extreme cold.

Had to return even though I loved the feel of the glove: no padding
However, if you need grip/hand protection only..it seems like a very good glove

I wear an extra large surgical glove and these gloves fit tight, which is good for a motorcycle glove. The gloves mold to the hand and you are able to operate controls with ease.
Honest reviews on Fox Men's Sidewinder Glove
This is my first pair of FOX Gloves. I ride with others who have FOX gloves. My Sidewinder gloves are very thin in the palm material and there is no padding in the palms either. The back of the glove is reinforced very well for a mountain bike glove for back of the hand protection, but the palms are disappointingly thin. Sweat soaks into the palm material and makes the palms feel even thinner than they are. Other brand gloves that I saw in my LBS after buying these gloves seem better to mountain bike in but those gloves are substantially higher in price than the FOX and FOX gloves seemed highly recommended by other riders. Would I buy another pair of Sidewinders, probably not. Next time I have to shop around in my LBS's for what gloves seem best before I look for brand and price online.

I've been wearing the sidewinder for a while, for both mountain and cross riding and a little racing. I've always liked the balance between durability and comfort in this glove. I think they have erred a little on the side of comfort this time, though, because the palm materials seems thinner. We'll see how they wear; as we are just getting into spring I'm just starting to transition to using these gloves instead of heavier fare.
