I purchased these shorts for a spinning class where the bikes have very hard seats. These shorts offered very heavy and effective padding throughout the seating area...from rather high in the back to high in the front also. They make my exercise classes bearable. I wear these as a liner underneath looser shorts because I do not care for the look of biker tight alone on me. Someone younger with a great figure could wear them without shorts over them. The length was to about the middle of my thigh and I am 5'4". I normally wear size 6 or 8 in pants and shorts and the size medium fits perfectly. I wash them in cold water on the gentle cycle in my washing machine and hang them to dry. After a coupld of months of this twice a week, they still look new. Great purchase!

These shorts have a very true to size fit. I've been comfortable for rides as far as 60+ miles, although I haven't quite put a century in them yet. Not as good as my Terry shorts always were, but this price was right!

These shorts have a good chamois and provide a lot of coverage--the inseam is long enough to hit midway above my knees (I'm 5'9"), and the waist sits well above my hips and has a drawstring, so I don't have to worry about mooning people behind me (and it gives some streamlining to the figure, if you care about that). I've found them to be effective for rides of about thirty miles, with a few caveats. The chamois has some edges that aren't perfectly stitched down, so I noticed some chafing there on my last ride. As I've had these for about four months, that could be wear and tear, but it's worth noting.

Overall I've been pretty satisfied with these for the price. The white panels are a nice change from the standard black short you usually find. I haven't given them a test on ultra long distance rides though.

Update:

Had these for over a year now. Haven't had any more trouble with the chamois edges chafing, oddly enough. They're still holding up, though the panels aren't as white as they used to be, ha! Still my go-to shorts, great wicking and comfort. You might want a more robust short for distances of 60+ miles though.

im a size 5'5" 115lb. I usually wear size small in normal pants. i got a Medium Sugoi RS shorts and they are fine, not too confining but fits. these evolution shorts are too big compared to the RS shorts. i might fit into XS in these. Returned these. wish these fit me as the material seems great.
