I bought two pairs of these shorts from a different seller over two years ago and I can tell you these shorts really do stand the test of time. I wear them on a regular basis and have done a lot of activity and the material and stitching are still fully intact, even around the v-notches which are notorious for pulling apart over time on other shorts. Only thing I can think of is my blue pair has faded over time, not real bad though. Definitely a good buy at a reasonable price. Not to mention super comfy!

OK. It's been a very long time since I have written a negative review on a specific product I purchased on Amazon. The Augusta Checkerboard Shorts turned out to be a disappointment. I can't speak on behalf of the people that had good results, but only from my experience. After the third time of wearing them they came apart at the seams in the crotch area. For those of you that wore these kind of shorts in the past know that it is due to poor construction, and not the kind of exercise you are doing. I really just used them to run in or just practice soccer with no heavy contact or hard play. I loved them when Umbro first came out with them many years ago but they too had the construction issue. They look great, they are light and perfect for soccer and running. The negative side is they were badly made. I'm not going to write this company off completely, but in the meantime they will have to get a negative review because I am out $12.00 +.
