I bought this after returning the women's version of these pants (because they were too long). The waist size was expected, length just hit the floor-which was perfect and can be further corrected with the snaps if I didn't want them to drag. The pants also allowed room for another layer underneath without it being too big or too tight. Just what I needed for the right price. Just weird that I had to buy a Boy's version vs. women's for it to fit well.

We bought 2 pair of these so each of my kids could wear them in Iceland. They worked great! It was chilly, so I'm not sure if they would be good in warmer weather (as far as breath ability). They were a little long for my tall 7 year old, but I purchased 10's. With the snap at the ankle, they were perfect, so don't be afraid to size up so they can be worn longer. My husband was afraid they might tear on the rough lava rocks, so we asked my son to be careful and they are back home in like-new condition.
