I bought the 1/2 sleeve, which is great for summer. The one time I got caught in the rain it kept me dry. It is very light and easily packs in the bag. I don't think it would retain heat in spring or fall golf. I would recommend it for summer. The life time waterproof warranty is a bonus.Very good product, goog quality color and fit very perfectly. You have to buy exact size. I bought for my housband and he was very satisfied
