Although I am pretty fit, at 40+ I am sometimes self aware when wearing shorts that feel too short. I primarily mountain bike and got these for a 2 week mountain biking vacation. They were a really nice alternative to shorts even in 85 degree weather. I love the no elastic construction. The longest ride I have done in them is a 5 hour mountain bike ride; the padding provided just the right amount of cushion. They are definetly worth the price.

I ride almost every day and enjoy riding in the warmer months of the year. However, once it starts to get a little cool out, these bikapris are great. I like the length and the fabric is soft and breathable. These are very comfortable on long rides as well since the padding provides just enough cushion without being too bulky. I'm 5'5" and weigh about 122 lbs. I ordered a size medium and the fit is great. This was my first Descente purchase and I'm very pleased with them.

Overall, they are comfortable.....a little too comfortable. After I tried them on I realized the material is so thin and "breathable" that you can see right through them. They fit fairly well in my thighs, but loose in the waist. I don't think I could handle them out on the trails if I constantly have to pull my pants up.

I bought these for my wife who rides 3-5 times per week, about 10 miles per ride, full All-Mountian riding and typically in the mud here in the pacific northwest. She is very pleased with these, says the fit is great aside from a little bit of slip between these and the riding shorts (typically fox) which she wears over them. After a month and a half of abuse, they still look new.
