I wasn't sure about wearing the sleeves as I live in California's high desert and it gets rather warm out here. However, since I recently had a skin cancer cut off my arm, I figured I should give them a try. Better safe than sorry, right? I was very surprised to find out, not only did they keep the sun off my arms, the sleeves kept me cooler than going without. They act like personal swamp coolers for my arms. I really like them and have recommended them to my fellow golfers.

I got these because my dermatologist said that I had to protect my arms from additional sun damage. The sleeves are very thin, and I am slightly dubious of the claim that they block over 99% of the UV light. I got the white ones, and they pass at least blue light quite easily. Still, they provide much better protection than the sunscreen I usually forget to apply or reapply every 90 minutes.

The sleeves themselves are very lightweight and comfortable. I have fairly large arms and the sleeves stretch enough for me. They are tightest around the biceps, and for me they are just short of being too tight. They are very stretchy and probably really are one-size-fits all except for people with huge muscles and those who are very obese.

On hot, sunny days they seem to make my arms feel cooler. On the other hand, I have slipped them on at the office to warm up when the air conditioning was making it too cool.

I like these sleeves for driving, yardwork, and when I walk to work.

I purchased these sleeves a couple of months ago and both pair have started falling apart at the wrist end. The sleeves have not been machine washed.

In the future, I will spend a little more for better quality.
