the fleece material appears sturdy & packed with warmth and unexpected thickness. the overall fit for this medium size I have is quite suitable for my need. if this is for a inner layer, it would be make you toasty undery an outer layer under some circumstances. for the price, this is very recommendable. It might not be the same quality as a REI woodland model which cost nearly $40, but economically, this is second to none. My four stars is due to the fact that the zipper is not yet "REI" quality and that the fleece is rather hairy

I have been looking for a women's fleece vest in brown for about 2 years. I finally decided to look into a man's vest. Eureka! Nice chocolate brown color to go with my tan and khaki colored pants and yellow or green tops. And it is soft and very, very warm. Fits a little large on me, but I like vests that way. Other than it taking 10 days to arrive, I would recommend this brand very much -even for women.
