You can keep your Nike and Champion or Under Armor. These are the way to go in when its cold out. They are ment to be worn under ski pants but now all of us wear them to run in. They are expensive but will last and can take the snow, rain and cold and washing every day.
I have bought them for my friends who also run and they are believers!
Also, I purchased the mens small ( I did not find any for women that were the style I wanted).
Great product! If Chillys were smart this is the way they should be marketed. Allot more runners out there then Skiers.

I use these tights for road cycling in fall and winter, and this product is perfect. On cold days, I put on these tights, and then put on lycra bike shorts on top. The fit is excellent, and the comfort is great.

I bought my first pair of these a few years ago from a local store and found them to be by far the best long johns I have ever bought. They are heavy enough to keep you warm even in very cold temps while not feeling restrictive. They also wick moisture very well. I just bought another pair on amazon as the price was about $10 less than where I bought them in the past.

I have tried both the Merino wool long johns and two versions of the Hot Chillys for 10-day High Sierra trips and I strongly prefer the synthetic Hot Chillys. I am a fan of wool, and wear wool underwear, socks and tee-shirts, but the Hot Chilly long johns are lighter, more comfortable and just as warm as the wool.
