Being 31 years old and having found myself needing to buy shoes my entire adult life I feel as if I am well practiced in buying shoes. I have worn a size 14 shoe since the age of 13-14 and continue to wear a size 14 to this day. I am healthy with a good build, by no means a body builder or Olympic contestant but I am active and healthy. I have large feet but not fat or overly wide but I think this company does not take proportion into account when making their shoes. A person with a size 8 inch long foot my have a 3 inch wide food but a person with a size 14 inch wide foot does not have the same 3 inch wide foot. As with most clothing products, the manufacturers all have a different interpretation of clothing and shoe sizing. We all know one companies size 34 waist is another companies size 32. HOWEVER!, this shoe doesn't even come close. Sure, I have purchased a size 14 blindly in the past and put it on and found it uncomfortably snug but with this shoe I can not even get it on my foot. The shoe is too narrow for the width of the ball of my foot to even slide half way into the opening. I live in Brooklyn NYC. These shoes fit in but still get noticed. They are sleepers ~ look like nothing, save to a connoisseur.
