The black hoody, L, was soft and comfortable. It is a slim cut that runs true to size. I'm 5'8" and the length of the body was perfect and the sleeves were long enough. The eagle on the back, in black, was subtle. The eagle is a separate piece of black cloth, cut into the shape of an eagle, and sewn on. It also says "Fly" in velvety black letters underneath the bird.
The zipper IS sewn onto a white strip unlike in the photo. Worth the subtraction of one star.
The thing that I look for in a sweatshirt is the right weight. Champion and Jansport are a little too heavy for me. This is medium weight, perfect for NorCal weather mid 50's and mid 60's. Glad I bought it.

Ordering from the JM Collection for me has been a gamble. I'm a plus sized woman getting more into work out routines, and shedding weight. Most collections like these are always geared towards ladies already at a weight that is healthy. I took the risk of ordering the XXL Bubblegum hoody anyways. When it arrived, I was so happy to see that it was larger than I expected, and fit me perfectly leaving plenty of room before I shrink more, thus making it 'grow'. The color was vibrant, and nice. I remember someone saying there was a glaring white zipper that's not shown in the images. This is PARTLY true. When zipped up, the zipper matches the images, and is no big deal. When unzipped, if you fold the zipper over to see the inside, it's a strip of white fabric instead of black. However, I don't find this to be something to knock it down a peg. The design on the back kind of, I don't know. Doesn't seem to fit in my opinion. It's on the back though, so I never see it and don't even remember it's there half the time. So why did I knock a star off a seemingly perfect item? I inspect items carefully when they arrive before wearing them to make sure there's no pre-damage, etc. When I did, I found two spots where there was pink thread poking from the seams. I'm kind of afraid that the threading will get pulled, snagged, cut, etc. and end up causing a hole in the hoody. This could be a 'lemon' item though. Definitely don't let this stop you from trying them out! I've worn it 2-3 times thus far, and so far so good! I'll be sure to update the review in the case that something does happen.
