I love this jacket! I've used the pieces separately and together and I love the versatility. My only worry is how incredibly thin the fabric is on the zip-in. It feels like the slightest little thing could cause a snag or run. My husband has the Men's version of this jacket and he did get a little puncture hole just from brushing by an office door, so I've been very careful when wearing only the zip-in.

I found the fit to be good. I normally wear a large or extra-large and this jacket fits great as long as I'm not wearing anything too bulky. I wear it with long sleeve t-shirts and light sweaters. In case it helps you with sizing questions: I've probably got an average sized chest for my size. I think that may be where the issue lies for some women who have had size issues with Columbia jackets. If you can, try one on in a local store before buying on Amazon.

Also, there are North Face fleece zip-ins that will work okay with the outer shell. They'll zip in and you can rig the sleeve button thingies to work okay. Just an extra option.

I bought the jacket for my girlfriend for her birthday as she wanted something for the cold rainy weather and below freezing temperatures. She ordered a x-small, she is an hourglass shape (38-24-39 dimension wise) and it fit her just fine. Many people on the Columbia website as well as Amazon said the jacket either fit to small or to large, but for her it fit perfectly in her regular size (Both coats together or separate); she tested the Omni-Heat and it worked impressively well, as for the Omni-Dry we have not been able to test yet due to it being summer at the moment, but we assume that it worked just as well as the Omni-Heat. As for the fabric, she felt it was extremely comfortable and high quality, while not being nearly as heavy as her larger winter jacket--I believe the columbia jacket combined is about 1lb and her winter jacket was closer to 3 or 4, and the Columbia jacket actually has kept her warmer and cost me much less. As for the fit it is great for women because the cut on the jacket allows their figure to show whereas some other jackets just make them look straight and she enjoys how it fits her body as she did not like the "swimming"(meaning her waist had far to much room so she had to size up) feel of other jackets. Overall she has loved the jacket and it has done exactly what Columbia said it would thus far. I would recommend it.

Highly recommend this jacket because it keeps you warm without the bulk. Excellent Columbia quality and the 3 in 1 interchange is an added bonus. Purchased mine USED from Amazon at $69 and it arrived with all tags attached and sealed in original bag (did not appear to be used or worn and was not smelly or dirty) so this was an awesome deal considering they are almost double the price or more when new.

This is a great jacket! I have used each piece separately and the system together. The omni-heat liner really keeps you warm and I like the sleeve extensions that fit under your gloves so that air will not come in the sleeves. The outer jacket is great and has stood up to some pretty wet conditions so far. The outer layer weighs a bit more than I was hoping as I was wanting to use it for backpacking trips but all in all this is a great jacket system!
