Never purchased a Helly Hansen product until now...it definitely made me realize how much I've been missing, in both quality and affordability. Ordered one of these jackets and used it as a shell for a big mountain ski trip. And I have to say! It was a solid performer, withstanding snow and subzero wind chills the entire trip.

I liked it so much I bought another jacket in flashy red to take with me on boat trips in the summer and stash in my trunk for sudden downpours.

Pros:

Absolutely waterproof, stand-up collar with a hinged hood (allows the collar to remain standing even after u take the hood down), great wind protection, can't beat the price, colors rock!

Cons:

Fit is a little large...Perfect when you order a size down Order down especially if you have an athletic build.

Inexpensive and nice looking slicker. Sheets off water, and blocks the wind too. I use it as a shell.

I do exterior home surveys for homeowners insurance companies. My days are spent tromping around 10-20 homes a day taking pictures and measurements. I'm only out of my car 10-15 min. at a time, but here in MN, the winters can still make that brutal. I wanted a jacket that was windproof, waterproof and not heavily insulated so that I was warm outside, but didn't overheat in the car. I also wanted something bright and visible. This jacket does it all. I couldn't be happier. After I got it, I was a bit concerned tree branches, etc. might catch on the fabric and tear it. So far, not a mark. Thank you Helly Hanson!

Not for cold weather but for keeping you dry.

Im happy with it. Sometimes when the weather gets a little chilly here in Afgh I wear a hoodie or lightwieght sweater underneath.

The coat is incredible..keeps you 100% dry. My husband borrowed mine to walk the dog during a deluge of biblical proportions. He liked it so much I had to purchase a second one for him
