My boyfriend wears a size 38 x 29 pant and I ordered a size large; the pants were true to fit in the waist, a few inches long in the leg (we will take them up). No need for a belt with the waist cinches. The AP print/coloring was true to the pants pictured. He has worn the pants while hiking into his treestand (no noise issues) and depending on the weather (we live in MA) leaves just the pants on when in his stand (50 deg +) or underneath his hunting suit for colder weather. We "blue light" tested the pants and they were not UV hot. No unusual smell from the pants when we received them. The pants are comfortable with lots of pockets. No complaints here! We would order these again.

i wear a size 34x32 cinch jeans and the medium size russell outdoor explorer fit snuggly at the waist and great in the leg. i think if i was going to wear a base layer under them i would need to have the next size up to be comfortable or i could always lose 5 lbs but thats unlikely to happen.

These pants are a great pair of hunting pants. You can but these a size larger because it has to straps along the side to tighten them plus the belt loops for your own belt. The pants, shirt, and scent killer ran for about $60 which is not bad when so these items by themselves can cost $60. If you live in a cold environment then these might not be pants and shirt for you. I live in Southern California so they are warm enough for the mornings and cool enough throughout the day.

These are rather lightweight, but the fabric feels very sturdy. I'm a big guy (6ft 315lbs) so I was a little worried about the sizing. I wear a 48" blue jeans and these were a little tight (not uncomfortable) around the waist. I could have skipped the belt and they would have stayed up. They're not too noisy, but I've owned quieter pants.

I recieved these pants with in three days of ordering them and I really do like them so far. They fit well and the pattern will be good for almost any hunting situation. The only reason I give them 4 star instead of 5 is because they are a little more light weight then I expected so during the winter I'll probly have to wear underarmor under them. But they should be perfect for all the other times of the year.
