I wear a size 16, have 36DD/E, and a shorter waist. I bought the large and it's perfectly sized for an undergarment. If I wanted to wear it alone, I would need an XL. It goes all the way to my hip, so would work for someone long waisted, I think.
The lace at the top is soft and comfortable (and I never buy bras with lace because they are too itchy). The lace doesn't really show under button up work tops, except from certain angles or gaps when your bra might be visible. It's a smooth easy fabric that works well under tops, sweaters, etc. The lace doesn't pull at fabric even on my shoulder with a smooth thin polyester top.
I wore one every day it was clean enough this winter. I wash it in warm and hang dry every time and they have held up well. It's the perfect undergarment for wearing to work everyday and ensuring a barrier if your button up tops gap sometimes.

Its a comfortable and versatile tank. I got it in black and nude. I was glad to have read previous reviews so I could get the right size. It runs a bit big. I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs and am happy with an x-small.Best Deals for ExOfficio Women's Give-N-Go Lacy Tank
I am in-between sizes. I bought the XL, instead of Large (so unlike the other reviewers, I went up a size and it was a grand fit); my bust is 41" (approximately) and I have an approximate 34" waist. If I had purchased the Large, it would have fit me, but it would have been clingy and a bit tighter. The bright green is normally a color that I would "not" have purchased, but I could not resist the $9 price. When I received it, I tried it on and loved it (even the color). It has a very classy, feminine look. The green looks great against my skin, and it is an attention-getter color, yet very sophisticated for a sporty tank. I will, at times, probably wear it with a shrug-like, summery top.
I have not worn this top out yet, therefore I have not washed it, but when I do wash it, I will wash it in "cold" water and place it in one of those net garment-type bags that you can throw in the washing machine (Delicate cycle). This is the way I wash my lacy and/or delicate clothing . . . even my sweaters, and they always come out perfect.
I am very happy with this purchase. I bought it at Amazon, but I found it elsewhere for triple the price.
P.S. After I wrote the above review, I purchased another tank in a smaller size: the "large" wine tank.
The actual fit was a little tighter, but it looked fine. The fit was better in the under-arm area than the xl size, not so loose. Bust area was a great fit too, it felt like it was made to order, and not loose at all, for a size 41-42" bust . . . If you are over 42" than perhaps an XL will be a better fit.
I stretched the torso area of the tank by using my magic trick: stuffing the interior of the tank with two bed pillows, to stretch the fabric . . . It gave me a looser fit (not so form-fitting . . . My personal preference). Hope this helps, with regard to fit!
