These are very basic shorts with no fancy designs or features. But they're exactly what I was looking for. I bike a lot but have tried the tight, spandex shorts and don't like them at all. Sometimes I meet friends before biking, or stop at a store before or after, and don't want to be walking around looking like a totally biker dweeb. Plus I just don't find them comfortable.

I've had these for a few weeks and they're very comfortable, and have enough pockets that you can carry some basic stuff while you're walking around. The padding is also decent, thick enough but not too thick.

I just ordered a second pair because other bike shorts are so expensive and I just want something basic like these.

FYI, I have a 32 waist and the mediums fit perfect.

Perfect for those not into the tight bike shorts. I have had several pairs of Mt. bike shorts and these are one of my favorite. The padding is a bit bulky but it works. Make sure you get what you order! I ordered men's and got women's initially. The return was free and I had the correct ones a few days later. Pockets are nice and they machine wash well.

I don't like spandex shorts and these are perfect for me. They are long and lots room for 50 plus rider.

Well made like all Sugoi bike wear. I have a couple outershell type bike jackets also. Worth the money.

Revision: After further inspection the liner is designed to be detached from the shorts and worn by itself with other shorts etc. Good idea and I have revised my rating to 4 stars.

The Amazon product description states: "Durable outer shorts with removable liner, so you can wear 'em how you like." This is wrong as the liner is permanently sawn in the shorts and can only be removed if one cuts the attaching straps. Once removed it can not be ever installed again.

The quality is only fair, nothing outstanding here. IF the liner with the synthetic pad -not a chamoiscould be removed and reinstalled then I would rate the product a 3 stars, as it is I am reluctant to give it even 1 star.

Disappointed that, compared with the pairs that I bought from you a few years ago, there is no drawstring. The fit is oK except a little loose at the waist, and a drawstring would have corrected this.
