1. The fit of the plastic snout is uncomfortable and loose. Other companies mastered a comfortable hugging fit over and around the average nose, a long time ago, for dust masks, goggles, etc. Instead of improving its design, this product now includes one tacky add-on strip of foam, and more replacement strips are happily offered for sale. For me, this inelegant add-on was fussy, unhandy, flimzy, and merely shifted the fit problem.
As the product is pictured worn on the manufacturer's website, the tension which holds the mask binds mostly on the bridge of my nose. Alternatively this mask could be worn higher on the face, but then it would cover the eyes. Or cupped only around the mouth and chin, but there are better designed products if that's all you want.
Any fogging of glasses is in fact the fault of this design.
2. The snout is just a plastic cup. It has no insulation on the outside, and no heat recycling material on the inside. It would be more efficient to breathe into a cupped hand. Note the other reviewer's comment on one of the Talus products, about lots of condensation inside. Lack of insulation aggravates this.
Instead just take any reusable low-profile dust mask/ respirator. You are already better off comfort wise. If it has removable cartridge filter(s), try using it without the filters, or with. 1/11, Amazon sells a good one-cartridge mask. A dust mask provides the same mere air pocket, more comfortably and snugly.
But if you wish to tinker a bit, then also you can combine that with a favorite balaclava or scarf. You could add a bit of thin exterior insulation, such as Thinsulate or stock neoprene. That reduces the inside condensation. You can also improve the heat recycling, the whole point, by adding some copper. Mesh internal to the mask, or mesh or wool adapted inside a cartridge filter which fits the mask, sensibly and simply. However adding it outside increases the problem with condensation freezing the venting. I too was hoping for a good ready-made solution, but for me this product is not it.

I love this thing! I cant imagine skiing in cold weather without it. I wear it with my goggles and my helmet and it fits perfectly (FYI I am petit female). I finally get my money's worth out of a full day ski ticket (which can be expensive in Colorado) so it is well worth it. I would recommended for the skier's gear bag.Best Deals for Talus Outdoor Technologies ColdAvenger Classic Ski Mask
Now, I'm not a skier or snowmobiler. I'm just an average joe from the midwest who wanted something to block air off his face when doing winter work. I saw this, looked into it and took the plunge. I wore it the first time the other day, and it works great. It actually does block cold air off your mouth and nose. And the bubble captures the heat from your exhalation to heat air you inhale. Only complaint, which really isn't their fault, is that my glasses still get fogged up from breathing out. But if you want an alternative to a scarf, and don't mind looking like a worker for the CDC during an outbreak, this is your product. And another great thing. This product is made here in America. Montana to be specific!

I switched to this mask after using the Seirus mask through a couple of ski seasons. Even though it has some strikes against it, I'd still rate it 4.5 stars.Pros:
My face never gets cold, even when skiing in temperatures where the wind chill has been -25° F.
Even after a half-day skiing (which is when I usually take a break) I haven't noticed a horrible buildup of humidity on the inside of the mask. I have noticed that sometimes my nose runs, which really grosses me out considering how damp my Seirus mask used to get but I notice it in time to wipe it instead of wearing the snot right on my face.
Even though I wear the bottom of my ski goggles on top of the top seam of the mask, I've never had problems with my goggles fogging up.
Could go either way:
I get called Darth Vader a lot. Especially since most of my ski gear is black. If you're female and getting mistaken for a male bothers you, this might not be the mask for you. Or you could wear something that's not an oversized black men's ski jacket and black ski pants.
Cons:
The humidity dripping outside the mask has frozen my jacket zipper shut several times. This can be a problem if you need to open your jacket in a hurry.
I wish they made it with some other, girlier fabric colors. Not super-girly, just something bold and colorful.
For me, there's a gap of about a quarter inch on the bridge of my nose, between my goggles and the top of my mask. It's possible the foam insert they included would fix this, but I haven't tried. That quarter-inch gets wind-burned or sunburned sometimes.
