Had to review this as no one else has, anywhere! I am a clydesale triathlete of about 3 years now. Mostly Oly distance but looking at my first half this fall and maybe a full Iron next summer. I got this suit on sale after owning its little brother the wahoo for a season. Fits my broad shoulders well in an XL with me at 6' 220lbs, mostly chest/back, shoulders and big thighs/butt from lifting, cycling, and skiing. Plenty of flex in the shoulders and chest. It floats me big time, better than the wahoo thanks to the 5mm yamamoto from the chest all the way down the legs. Profile Designs suits are way under hyped. All the other suit makers talk about their catch panels and doodads on their suit. PD doesn't talk about it but this suit has the ribbed structure on the forearms, upper arm, and side of the calves that will increase surface area and cause turbulance which increases catch. They talk about the ribbing to increase flex but not the catch. I don't know why! It's like PD doesn't really wanna sell these! What I do like is the ribbing is still scs coated and directional so it won't slow you in the glide phase like other catch panels. I often wonder, especially after reading an article by Dan Emfield, about some catch panels actually making suits slower depending on your form. I think the marlin avoids that as the catch panel is not as obtrusive.

I noticed it is faster than my wahoo and more flexible. It fits better, I don't notice and squishy areas water loading like I do in the wahoo. I haven't used other suits so I can compare on that level. Reverse zipper is neat but you will have to have help to get it on, which you should anyway to get the suit to fit right. Many folks say suits don't fit because they don't put them on right. There are several tutorials on the web on how to put a suit on that every suit user should watch.
