I wore this shirt into the Everglades in Florida on a kayak trip. It kept me cool and helped to thwart the mosquitoes. You can wear this shirt in the backwoods, but it is nice enough you can wear it out to a casual dinner out.

This is a very well made shirt but I was very disappointed at the sizing. I recently purchased a different ex-officio shirt in XL which is very roomy but i could not even button this one which is also an XL. I am very disappointed to have to return it and even more disappointed that exofficio does not offer plus sizes. Bottom line I would order a size up so that you have the room in the shirt needed to stay cool and be active.

I went to Nicaragua which I heard had tons of mosquitoes. The shirt was pricey so I took a risk to buy it for the bug protection. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it is and soft. The size was roomy fit and I loved the raspberry color. Good investment. Only thing is the sleeves are too thick to be really comfortable rolling up even though there's a tab to hold it.

I bought this shirt for hiking in the Amazon. I really couldn't wear it. It was way to hot and felt very heavy in the high temperatures. I have however used it in tick season in Canada in the Spring. It was fine for this as the temperatures are cool. We placed a tick on the sleeve. It was not happy and kept lifting its legs. It finally fell off and died after 8 minutes so it does work.
